Job summary

HCL is recruiting a part-time Catering Assistant for Holywell Primary School. You will help prepare and serve meals to children, maintain high hygiene standards, and support safe kitchen operations. Term-time hours are 15 per week, with no weekends or late nights.

Salary is £12.71 per hour. Uniform is provided. DBS disclosure is paid by HCL, and there are opportunities for progression and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Safeguarding children commitment is essential.
• Food hygiene level 2 certification preferred.
• Basic understanding of health and safety procedures required.
• Knowledge of key allergens preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, cooking and serve meals to children
• Uphold Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Adhere to Health & Safety regulations
• Receive, check, and organise supplier deliveries
• Carry out washing-up duties, maintain a clean hygienic kitchen and dining area
