Job summary

West Bromwich Collegiate Academy, part of the Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust, is seeking a Catering Assistant to join the school kitchen. This 16-hour per week post operates term-time plus two weeks, with an immediate start, preparing, cooking and serving meals and maintaining kitchen cleanliness.

You will work as part of a team, with duties including food prep, equipment cleaning, and setting the dining area for service.

Qualifications

• DBS clearance preferred or required
• Experience in kitchen environment is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and cooking of meals and refreshments
• Assist with care, maintenance and cleaning of kitchen equipment
• Prepare dining room for service: cleaning, sweeping, mopping and laying tables
