Job summary

West Bromwich Collegiate Academy, part of the Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust, is seeking a Catering Assistant to join the school kitchen. This 16-hour per week post operates term-time plus two weeks, with an immediate start, preparing, cooking and serving meals and maintaining kitchen cleanliness.

You will work as part of a team, with duties including food prep, equipment cleaning, and setting the dining area for service.

Qualifications

• DBS clearance preferred or required
• Experience in kitchen environment is beneficial

We are looking for a catering assistant who will work as part of a team assisting with the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals and refreshments and general kitchen cleaning

Key Responsibilities:

• To assist with the preparation and cooking of food and refreshments.
• To assist with the care, maintenance and cleaning of all equipment in use in the kitchen as required.
• To prepare the dining room for service, including cleaning, sweeping, mopping and laying of tables when necessary
