Job summary

Pertemps Network Catering is hiring a School Catering Assistant in West Bromwich to support busy school kitchens and dining areas. This daytime, weekday role offers stable hours (Mon-Fri, 10am-3pm) and hands-on experience in a school setting, including food prep, serving and hygiene duties.

Ideal candidates will have prior catering experience and be committed to safeguarding and working with pupils. Training on Food Safety, allergens and safeguarding can be provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a catering environment is essential.
• Food safety certifications are required or training can be provided.
• Safeguarding training or willingness to undertake training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Food preparation and basic kitchen duties
• Serving meals to pupils and staff
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• Washing up and keeping kitchen areas organised
• Supporting the catering team during busy service periods
