Job Description

Assist in the daily preparation of food for a variety of meal plans at various establishments across East Ayrshire. This role supports the promotion, delivery, and integration of the Council’s key objectives, specifically related to the Community Plan, Shared Commitments, Single Outcome Agreement, and Best Value.

Requirements

The duties involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will need to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member or have an existing membership, with a PVG Scheme Record Update, before a formal offer of employment is made. PVG records are constantly updated; any relevant information disclosed will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

Additional Information

This is a temporary, part-time, term-time position. The details are as follows:

• Post 1: Muirkirk Primary School - 12.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 11:00 am - 1:30 pm
• Post 2: Stewarton Academy - 10 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 12:45 pm - 2:45 pm

The hourly rate is £12.96. The posts are temporary until 30th April 2026.
