JOB DESCRIPTION

For Catering Assistants: Undertake, under the general direction of the Catering Supervisor the preparation,simple cooking and serving of food.

For Catering Assistant / Drivers: To deliver meals, food, equipment and provisions to schools and other catering units. Assist in any kitchen within South Ayrshire Council Facilities Management and undertake duties associated with food services.

This post is considered to be Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. Accordingly, the preferred candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a Scheme member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made. Post B - Catering Assistant (10hrs) (Term Time) - Newton Primary School - The annual salary, adjusted to a term time working pattern, is from £5,939 to £6,207.

Post C - Catering Assistant / Driver (20hrs) (Term Time) - Forehill Primary School - The annual salary, adjusted to a term time working pattern, is from £11,878 to £12,415.

Post D - Catering Assistant / Driver (16hrs) (52wks) - Wallacetown Early Years Centre - The annual salary is from £11,062 to £11,154.
