Job summary

Aspens Services is a market-leading contract caterer in education, seeking a Catering Assistant to support the kitchen with basic food preparation and to deliver excellent service during the lunchtime rush. You will work on front-line service, handle tills during service with full training provided, and help maintain a safe, clean kitchen inline with health and safety standards; DBS may be requested.

Hours are 16 per week during term time, Monday to Friday, with no late nights or weekends,

Qualifications

• Must be a team player and thrive in a busy service environment.
• Experience in catering or fast-paced service preferred.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety practices, training available.

Responsibilities

• Customer Interaction: Working on the tills during service (full training provided).
• Front-Line Service: Providing friendly, polite service to students and staff.
• Essential Support: Assisting the team with basic food preparation.
• Maintaining Standards: Keeping a safe, clean kitchen and following Health & Safety rules.
