Job summary

Holroyd Howe is seeking a Catering Assistant & Saturday Coffee Shop Supervisor in Northampton to join a busy school catering operation. The role combines weekday kitchen support with leading a brand-new Saturday coffee shop, serving parents, pupils, staff and visitors during fixtures, events and community activities.

You will ensure food hygiene, allergen management and excellent customer service, while working 7:30am–3:00pm Monday to Thursday and 7:00am–12:30pm Saturdays, with additional

Qualifications

• Previous catering, hospitality or customer service experience is desirable.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Understanding of food hygiene and allergen management principles.
• A flexible approach to working hours to support school events when required.
• Right to Work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Lead the new Saturday coffee shop operation and deliver excellent customer service.
• Support the preparation and service of meals in the main school kitchen, 7:30am–3:00pm Mon–Thu.
• Assist with stock control, merchandising and maintaining a welcoming coffee shop environment.
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness and presentation across catering and service areas.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house teams to deliver a seamless catering experience.
• Support occasional evening and weekend events as required.
