Job summary

Blue Arrow is seeking Catering Assistants for roles across Melton Mowbray and surrounding areas. Immediate starts and flexible shift patterns (day, evening, night) are available to suit different lifestyles. You will support kitchen teams with smooth food service operations, including basic prep and customer service.

Ideal candidates bring a positive attitude, reliability and teamwork, with good communication skills. Previous catering experience is desirable but not essential.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy team with immediate starts available and a range of shift patterns to suit different lifestyles, including day, evening and night shifts.

The Role

As a Catering Assistant, you will support kitchen and catering teams with the smooth running of food service operations.

Duties may include:

• Assisting with food preparation and basic cooking tasks
• Serving customers in dining areas
• Washing up and maintaining kitchen cleanliness
• Clearing tables and replenishing stock
• Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures
• Supporting chefs and kitchen staff as required

Requirements

• Previous catering, hospitality or kitchen experience is desirable but not essential
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Reliability and punctuality are essential
• Safety shoes are required
• Own transport may be advantageous for some locations and shift times
