Job summary

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting Catering Assistants for Wexham Park Hospital to provide a professional, customer-focused catering service for patients, staff, and visitors.

The role involves serving in patient and staff dining areas, assisting in food preparation, delivering meals to wards, and undertaking cashier duties. Full training will be provided; a food safety certificate is desirable.

Qualifications

• GCSE or Equivalent required.
• Level 2 Food Safety Certificate preferred.
• Previous catering experience desirable but not essential.
• Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene or good knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food service areas and equipment for use (e.g. placing equipment ready for use).
• Serve food and drinks in patient/staff dining outlets and on the patient meal assembly.
• Ensure a full supply of crockery and cutlery to the restaurant during service hours.
• Deliver and collect meal trolleys to/from wards and departments; deliver catering supplies to wards and departments.
• Menu collation, ward food picking according to menu choice and record information.
