Job summary

Derbyshire Catering Service is recruiting a Catering Assistant to join the Hasland Hall Community School kitchen team. You will support the kitchen supervisor with food prep, cooking, portion control and allergen compliance, and help prepare the dining room for service.

We value a positive attitude suitable for a school environment. Successful completion of the NVQ food hygiene certificate will be required upon appointment, with ongoing training and a focus on food hygiene and safety.

Are you passionate about food and enjoy working as part of a team? We are currently recruiting for a Catering Assistant to work as a valued member of our dedicated kitchen team.

You will be supporting the kitchen supervisor in all areas of the service . Possible tasks include food preparation, cooking, portion control, allergen compliance and preparing the dining room for service.

Our Catering Assistants are our point of contact with our hungry customers. Whilst serving meals to our customers all team members help ensure that food hygiene and health & safety regulations are followed. We want to help make good lunchtime memories for our customers so it is essential that you can demonstrate an attitude which is appropriate to the school environment.

Successful completion of the NVQ food hygiene certificate will be required upon appointment.
