Derbyshire Catering Service in the East Midlands is recruiting a Catering Assistant to join the school kitchen team. You will support the kitchen supervisor across production and servery units, helping with food preparation, cooking, portion control and dining room setup.

A positive attitude in a school environment is essential, with a commitment to food hygiene and health & safety. NVQ food hygiene certificate is required on appointment.

Qualifications

• NVQ food hygiene certificate required on appointment.
• Experience in a kitchen or catering environment preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow Food Hygiene/Health & Safety procedures.

Responsabilités

• Assist in all areas of service within schools production or servery units.
• Food preparation, cooking, portion control and allergen compliance.
• Prepare the dining room for service and ensure hygiene standards are met.
• Serve meals and support customers with a friendly, helpful approach.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join award-winning Derbyshire Catering Service.

Are you passionate about food and enjoy working as part of a team? We are currently recruiting for a Catering Assistant to work as a valued member of our dedicated kitchen team.

You will be supporting the kitchen supervisor in all areas of the service within our Schools ,This may involve working at a production unit or at a servery unit. Possible tasks include food preparation, cooking, portion control, allergen compliance and preparing the dining room for service.

Our Catering Assistants are our point of contact with our hungry customers. Whilst serving meals to our customers all team members help ensure that food hygiene and health & safety regulations are followed. We want to help make good lunchtime memories for our customers so it is essential that you can demonstrate an attitude which is appropriate to the school environment.

Successful completion of the NVQ food hygiene certificate will be required upon appointment.
