Derbyshire Catering Service invites applications for a Catering Assistant at Newbold Primary School, Chesterfield. Two posts are available. You will support the kitchen supervisor in production and servery duties, including food prep, cooking and portion control, while ensuring allergen compliance and a clean dining area.

Compliance with food hygiene and health & safety regulations is essential. NVQ food hygiene certificate is required on appointment.

Exciting opportunities have arisen to join award-winning Derbyshire Catering Service.

Are you passionate about food and enjoy working as part of a team? We are currently recruiting for a Catering Assistant to work as a valued member of our dedicated kitchen team.

You will be supporting the kitchen supervisor in all areas of the service at Newbold Primary School, Cranbourne Road, Chesterfield, S41 8PF. This may involve working at a production unit or at a servery unit. Possible tasks include food preparation, cooking, portion control, allergen compliance and preparing the dining room for service.

Our Catering Assistants are our point of contact with our hungry customers. Whilst serving meals to our customers all team members help ensure that food hygiene and health & safety regulations are followed. We want to help make good lunchtime memories for our customers so it is essential that you can demonstrate an attitude which is appropriate to the school environment.

Successful completion of the NVQ food hygiene certificate will be required upon appointment.
