Job summary

Willen Hospice is seeking a Catering Assistant to join our Catering Team at Willen Lake. You will serve customers, take beverage orders, and assist with light food prep including sandwiches and cakes. You will also help with dishwashing and maintaining hygiene standards in a welcoming, patient-centered environment.

The role offers training where needed, with a focus on customer service excellence and flexibility in a friendly, supportive team at Willen Hospice.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills is essential.
• Food hygiene level 1 certificate would be desirable, though full training will be provided.
• Experience in catering/front-of-house environment is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers and take orders for hot and cold drinks.
• Assist in basic food preparation such as sandwiches and salads.
• Clear and wash kitchen utensils; load/unload dishwasher as required.
• Take payment for food and maintain kitchen hygiene and cleanliness.
• Support the catering team to ensure a friendly, efficient service.
