Job summary

Willen Hospice is seeking a Catering Assistant to join the Catering Team. You will serve customers, take beverage orders, and assist in basic food preparation such as sandwiches, salads and fresh cakes. You will also handle payments and help maintain kitchen hygiene.

The role requires excellent customer service with a flexible, can-do attitude and experience in catering or front-of-house. A Food Hygiene Level 1 is desirable, though full training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills with a can-do and flexible approach.
• Experience in catering/front-of-house environment preferred.
• Food hygiene level 1 certificate desirable but training provided.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers and take hot/cold drinks orders.
• Clear and wash kitchen utensils; load/unload dishwasher.
• Take payment for food and ensure kitchen hygiene standards.
• Assist in basic food preparation as requested (sandwiches, salads, cakes).
