South West Norse is looking for a Temporary Catering Assistant at Colyton Primary School to support the catering team during a maternity cover. The role is part-time, term-time only, 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday 11:30am-1:30pm, with training provided and a focus on food hygiene and customer service.

You will help set up the dining area, serve lunches, clear tables, and assist with general duties while delivering high standards of service within a friendly team.

Fixed Term Contract for 1 year - Covering Maternity

£26,438.07 pro rata - Equates to £12.71 per hour

15 hours per week

Monday to Friday, 11:30am-1:30pm

South West Norse is established in delivering catering, cleaning, and facilities management services to a portfolio of clients in the local region in partnership with Devon County Council, combining local knowledge with service delivery expertise.

As we recognise the importance of building a strong kitchen team to be a key ingredient to our catering success, we currently have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Catering Assistant join our team at Colyton Primary School on a part-time, Temporary basis working Term-time only.

The Role:

You will be supporting all aspects of the catering service including ensuring completion of the preparation, cooking, presentation and service of our nutritious food and beverage outlets to students and staff while complying with food hygiene, Health and Safety and QA procedures.

This customer facing role will provide you with great exposure to all aspects of the catering environment with lots of opportunities to learn and develop your skills within the industry.

As well as:

• Clearing tables and cleaning the dining area after service
• Assisting with general catering duties as required
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and customer service
