NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across various clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to over 1.15 million people, expanding to 2.2 million with regional and national services.
The shift pattern for this position is Monday-Thursday 16:30-19:30 and Friday 16:30-19:18. (Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part-time hours.)
Your duties will include working within kitchen and ward areas to deliver efficient, high-quality catering services to patients, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities include taking patient food orders, working alongside NHS staff, serving food at ward level, maintaining cleanliness, replenishing supplies, and using cleaning agents safely following manufacturer instructions. You will operate electrical equipment such as the Burlodge Regen Oven and dishwasher. Protective clothing will be provided, and you will need to complete daily/weekly sign-off sheets and HACCP paperwork. Flexibility in daily routines is required.
