Job summary

Exemplar Health Care is seeking a Catering Assistant at Ribble View care home in Preston. You will support the Chef in preparing meals, set dining tables, and maintain a clean kitchen to ensure a positive dining experience for residents.

You’ll join a team dedicated to delivering nutritious meals, adhering to hygiene standards, and providing excellent resident care. Training and induction are provided, with opportunities to progress within the Care home group.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering is desirable but not essential.
• Understanding of food hygiene standards is important.
• High standards of personal hygiene are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation.
• Keep kitchen clean and tidy, including washing up and mopping floors.
• Clean and sanitise all tableware.
• Help Chef develop suitable menus by understanding residents’ needs.
