Job summary

Stir is looking for a Catering Assistant to be the face of our service, delivering friendly, high‑quality meals to students and staff. You’ll help with meal preparation, serve at the till, and ensure the kitchen stays clean and well organised.

This role runs Monday to Friday, 20 hours per week during term time, starting in November, with full DBS clearance required. We offer training, development opportunities, and a supportive team in a fast‑paced school catering environment.

Qualifications

• Friendly and versatile personality for a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional customer service skills required.
• Catering or food service experience is a bonus.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 training not essential; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to students and staff at lunchtime.
• Serve food and operate tills (training provided).
• Assist chefs with meal preparation.
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen.
• Follow Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies.
