Job summary

Miquill is hiring a Catering Assistant to be the friendly face and backbone of our kitchen team at Penkridge. You will provide excellent customer service while assisting in the preparation of delicious, nutritious meals using fresh ingredients.

Join a fast-growing Midlands-based school catering company that values its staff and offers training and development through our dedicated L&D team. This role is 15 hours per week, term-time only, with weekdays and no weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Friendly, versatile personality with ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional customer service skills and enjoy interacting with people.
• Catering experience considered a bonus; training provided.
• Basic knowledge of Health and Safety; Food Hygiene Level 2 preferred, training provided.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a dynamic team to create a positive dining experience for students and staff.
• Assist with preparing and serving meals.
• Operate tills (full training provided).
• Maintain a sparkling clean kitchen environment at all times.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines, including Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies.

Main Responsibilities

• Working as part of a dynamic team to create a fun and unique dining experience for students and staff
• Assisting with preparing and serving our delicious meals.
• Operating Tills (full training provided)
• Ensuring a sparkling clean kitchen environment at all times
• Strictly adhering to all safety guidelines, including Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policy

The Ideal Candidate

• We are looking for somebody who shares our passion for maintaining the highest standards of food and service. If you're ready to jump in and make a difference, you'll need:

• Previous catering experience is a bonus, but training is provided for the right person!
