Job summary

Miquill is looking for a friendly Catering Assistant in Oxford to join our kitchen team. You will deliver high-quality meals using fresh ingredients, and provide excellent service to students and staff.

This is a zero-hour, term-time contract with Monday–Friday work and no weekends. DBS disclosure will be sought; training is provided for all duties, including till operation and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Friendly and versatile personality suitable for fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service skills and people skills.
• Catering experience is a bonus but full training will be provided.
• Basic knowledge of Health and Safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide fantastic customer service as part of the kitchen team.
• Assist in preparation and serving of meals.
• Operate tills (full training provided).
• Maintain a sparkling clean kitchen environment at all times.
• Strictly follow Food Hygiene and Health & Safety guidelines.

Job Introduction

As a Catering Assistant, you are the friendly face and backbone of our kitchen team! You'll provide fantastic customer service while assisting in the preparation of delicious, nutritious meals of the highest quality, using our fresh ingredients.

Main Responsibilities

Working as part of a dynamic team to create a fun and unique dining experience for students and staff

Assisting with preparing and serving our delicious meals.

Operating Tills (full training provided)

Ensuring a sparkling clean kitchen environment at all times

Strictly adhering to all safety guidelines, including Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policy

The Ideal Candidate

Exceptional Customer Service skills-you love interacting with people!

Previous catering experience is a bonus, but training is provided for the right person!

Basic knowledge of Health and Safety practices.

Food Hygiene Level 2 is preferred, but not essential, as full training will be provided!
