Job summary

Aramark UK in Oxford is seeking a Catering Assistant to join our busy catering operation. You will deliver friendly, professional service while helping to create a welcoming dining environment for customers and guests.

Responsibilities include serving food and beverages, assisting with basic food preparation, cash handling, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety. No two days are the same in this fast-paced hospitality role.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a catering, hospitality, retail, or customer service environment is desirable but not essential
• A positive and enthusiastic attitude
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to work
• Flexibility and willingness to support the wider team when needed

Responsibilities

• Serving food and beverages with a friendly and professional approach
• Providing excellent customer service to all customers and guests
• Assisting with food preparation and basic kitchen duties
• Supporting the set-up and clear-down of dining and service areas
• Operating tills and handling cash transactions where required
• Ensuring all areas are kept clean, tidy, and well-presented
• Following food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures at all times
• Assisting with stock replenishment and deliveries
• Working collaboratively with the wider catering team to ensure smooth service delivery
