Position:
An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Catering Assistant based at Ayrshire Central Hospital.
What you will do:
Your duties will include serving meals to patients in all areas, performing general catering duties, and maintaining high hygiene standards, recording, and monitoring data for HACCP and Environmental Health.
The main kitchen at Ayrshire Central Hospital provides over 600 meals daily for patients, including therapeutic diets, as well as meals for staff and the public. Additionally, we cater for meetings and functions.

Knowledge, training, and/or experience required to do the job:
We are looking for an organized individual with kitchen management skills. Experience in large-scale catering, preferably within NHS, is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills are essential for this role.

We currently have a vacancy for the back shift:
Applicants must be available to cover all shifts within the department between 7:00 am and 8:45 pm, which may include Saturdays and Sundays to cover staff leave.
