Job summary

Berry Recruitment are recruiting Catering Assistants to work in a hospital in Stoke-On-Trent. The role involves handling cash/cards payments and preparing meals for wards, with potential cold environment work. Shifts run 7:00–14:30 or 11:30–19:00, five days a week including weekends.

Berry Recruitment are currently recruiting for Catering Assistants to work in a hospital based in Stoke-On-Trent.

We are looking for the Catering Assistant to work in the retail unit handling cash/card payments and cooking hot food stores deliveries.

Please note- you will be required at times to work in a cold environment

Key accountabilities include

• Ensuring that all meals are prepared presented and served correctly to patients in wards following set procedures and standards.
• Disassembling meals from wards and general washing up.
• Work as part of a team to provide a quality catering service around the hospital site in a friendly and purposeful manner.
• Attend training courses both in- company and elsewhere to meet and enhance the service of the Department.
• Preparing meals for delivery to wards with correct dishes as ordered.
• You must be flexible to work early and late shifts- the hours will be 7am-2.30pm or 11.30am- 7pm. You will work 5 out of 7 days a week, so you must be available to work weekends.

The hourly rate is starting from £12.71 PAYE.

You must have previous experience within a catering role.
