Job summary

Shooters Hill Sixth Form College is seeking a Catering Assistant to join the busy Hospitality and Catering department. The role is a fixed-term, full-time post for 1 year, term-time only at 39 weeks, with a starting salary on Scale 2 (£24,945) and a full-time equivalent of £28,617.

You will support a busy catering facility, maintain high food safety standards and deliver excellent service to students and staff.

We are currently looking to recruit a Catering Assistant to join our busy Hospitality and Catering department.

• Salary: Scale 2, starting at £24,945 (FTE £28,617)

• Contract: Fixed Term 1 year, full time, term time only at 39 weeks

The successful applicant will have experience of working in a very busy catering facility and have the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Excellent communication skills are essential in this role as you will be dealing with students, staff and visitors.

You will have sound knowledge of health and safety in a catering environment and food hygiene and allergens. Previous experience of working in an educational catering environment would be advantageous.
