Job summary

Shooters Hill Sixth Form College is seeking a Catering Assistant for their busy Hospitality and Catering department. The role is fixed term for 1 year, full time, term-time only at 39 weeks, with salary scales starting £24,945 (FTE £28,617) and scale 6 rising to £31,754 (FTE £35,520).

You will support high-volume catering operations while ensuring safety and quality standards. Experience in a busy catering environment and strong communication are essential; knowledge of health and safety and

• Experience of working in a very busy catering facility
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Excellent communication skills
• Sound knowledge of health and safety in a catering environment and food hygiene and allergens
• Previous experience working in an educational catering environment would be advantageous
