Job summary

Accent Catering Services Ltd is recruiting a Catering Assistant for our school site in Peterborough, PE6. The role is 22.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 10:00am - 2:30pm, term-time only, starting January 2027.

The ideal candidate will have good communication skills and a clear command of English; experience in a similar role is an advantage, and full training will be provided. The position may require overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• General kitchen duties
• Putting away deliveries
• Food preparation
• Serving, cleaning and washing up
• Assisting with inventory management
• Maintaining high standards of presentation of food and replenishing counters
• Speaking to each customer in a friendly, helpful and professional manner
• Undertaking all basic training and working effectively with colleagues as part of a team

Job description
