The Supply Register Ltd. is recruiting a Catering Assistant to work in a Derby school site in Oakwood. You will assist with meal preparation, serve meals, and maintain kitchen cleanliness.

The role requires good teamwork and reliability; prior catering experience is desirable. A Food Hygiene Certificate is preferred; you must be willing to complete the company's compliance steps, including DBS and Right to Work checks.

Catering Assistant - Derby

Location: Oakwood, Derby,

Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-2:30pm

Start Date: Immediate

We are currently recruiting for a Catering Assistant to work within a school setting in the Oakwood area of Derby.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and has a positive, hands-on approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals.
• Supporting the kitchen team with daily catering duties.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Washing up and keeping kitchen areas tidy.
• Following food hygiene and health and safety procedures.

Requirements:

• Previous catering or kitchen experience is desirable.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Food Hygiene Certificate desirable.

All applicants must be willing to complete The Supply Register's compliance process before starting work.

This includes:

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain a new DBS.
• Minimum of two employer references covering the previous 24 months
• Right to Work documentation.
• Two proofs of address.
• Proof of National Insurance.
• Relevant employment gap references where required.
• Overseas police checks where applicable.
• Completion of mandatory online safeguarding and compliance training
