Berkeley Scott in Derby is seeking Catering Assistants for school catering roles. Immediate starts with weekly pay and ongoing opportunities. You will support the kitchen operations and meal service in a school setting, ensuring hygienic practices and smooth service.

The role requires reliability, punctuality and the ability to work as part of a team, with enhanced DBS and two references. Food safety qualifications or willingness to obtain are preferred.

• DBS Enhanced check is required
• 2 references are required
• Food Safety Level 2 Certificate or willingness to obtain
• Food Allergen Certificate or willingness to obtain
• Previous catering experience is desirable

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

As a Catering Assistant, you'll support the catering team with the day-to-day running of the kitchen and meal service.

Your duties may include:

• Preparing food and ingredients
• Serving meals to pupils and staff
• Assisting during busy lunch periods
• Washing up and cleaning
• Keeping kitchen areas and equipment hygienic
• Following food safety and hygiene procedures
• Supporting the wider catering team

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
