Provide Education & Teachers UK is seeking enthusiastic Catering Assistants to work in Mansfield-area schools on a temporary ongoing basis. The role involves cooking, serving meals, and maintaining hygiene in school kitchens and dining areas.

Typical hours are 10:00 to 14:00, Monday to Friday, with a DBS check requirement. Applicants with catering or kitchen experience are welcome, though not essential, as training may be provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a catering or kitchen assistant role is desirable but not essential.
• Knowledge of food preparation, kitchen hygiene, and food safety practices is beneficial.
• Typical hours: 10am to 2pm Monday to Friday

• Assist in the preparation, cooking, and serving of food in accordance with the school’s menu and food safety guidelines.
• Serve meals to students and staff efficiently and with a friendly manner.
• Ensure all food is presented attractively and served at the correct temperature.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and hygienic kitchen and dining area.
• Wash up dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, ensuring that all items are cleaned and stored properly.
• Assist with checking and storing food deliveries.
• Follow school policies and procedures regarding food safety, hygiene, and allergen awareness.
