NHS National Services Scotland is recruiting Catering Assistants to work in the kitchen at Royal Victoria Hospital. You will deliver catering to patients, staff and visitors and help maintain a clean, safe environment. The role requires flexibility for evenings and weekends with a 7pm finish.

Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland must be achieved, and compliance with the Code of Conduct is required throughout employment. The salary is pro rata for part time hours.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Catering Assistants to work within the kitchen at Royal Victoria Hospital. We are looking for enthusiastic team members to join our department. You will be responsible for delivering the highest standard of Catering Service within the hospital to patients, staff and visitors whilst maintaining a clean, safe working environment. This post includes cleaning equipment which is a physically demanding job. Previous work in a catering environment is essential, and training will be provided.

You must have the ability to work as part of a team or on your own initiative, follow instructions and possess good communication skills. You must also be able to respond constructively to unpredictable situations and able to cope under pressure.

You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.

The working hours for these posts are 18 hours per week to be discussed at interview. Shifts are for evenings and weekend, (7pm finish) and enhancements are paid for weekend work.

The salary scale for this post is pro rata for part time hours.
