Job summary

Brendoncare Knightwood are seeking a Catering Assistant to join their skilled kitchen team within their 20 bed residential home in Knightwood, Chandlers Ford. The role includes hosting, meal prep and assisting with meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks.

You will work 30 hours per week at £12.85 per hour. Benefits include a uniform provided, a free meal on shift, free initial DBS check and free parking.

Qualifications

• Experience in care home settings or catering for older adults preferred.
• Ability to handle meals across breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks.
• Awareness of COSHH and HACCP guidelines considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Hosting guests and residents in a caring, courteous manner.
• Meal preparation for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks.
• Assist with meal preparation and serving.
• Stock rotation and inventory checks.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene.
• Ensure COSHH standards are adhered to and HACCP records are completed.

The role includes:

Priority will be given to applicants with experience of working in a Care Home setting or experience of catering for older/vulnerable adults with an understanding of their dietary and nutritional needs.
