Job summary

BrendoncareKnightwood is seeking a Catering Assistant to join the kitchen team at their 20-bed residential care home in Knightwood. The role focuses on hosting, cooking support, stock control and maintaining high hygiene standards.

Prior experience in care home catering or with older adults is preferred. The role provides meals on shift, DBS check, parking and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

• Experience in a care home setting or catering for older/vulnerable adults preferred.
• Understanding dietary and nutritional needs of older adults.

Responsibilities

• Hosting meals and service for residents.
• Meal preparation for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks.
• Assist with preparation of meals for service periods.
• Stock rotation and organisation of kitchen stock.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene.
• Ensure COSHH standards are met and HACCP records are completed.

BrendoncareKnightwood are looking for a Catering Assistant to join their skilled kitchen team within their beautiful nursing home.

The role includes:

• Hosting
• Meal prep
• Assisting with the preparation ofmeals for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks
• Stock rotation
• Maintaining kitchen cleanliness
• Ensure COSHH standards are exceeded
• HACCP record completion

Priority will be given to applicants with experience of working in a Care Home setting or experience of catering for older/vulnerable adults with an understanding of their dietary and nutritional needs.
