Description:

The Head of Category will play a key role in shaping and executing the category strategy for our FMCG categories, focusing on optimizing business performance and growth. Responsibilities include:

1. Leading the strategic vision for Category & Merchandising
2. Collaborating with Senior Category Managers, Category Managers, and Assistants to develop and execute operational plans
3. Determining pricing strategies for products within the category
4. Selecting products to include in the category, ensuring alignment with consumer preferences, market trends, and overall company strategy. Managing product assortment to meet customer demands and maximize sales
5. Ensuring successful execution of the Category & Merchandising strategy
6. Conducting comprehensive range reviews, including space, flow, assortment, and SKU distribution, to optimize category performance
7. Designing and executing promotional campaigns, discounts, and special offers to drive sales and attract customers

Key Requirements:

• Strong leadership background and experience in category management or retail buying
• Proven track record of delivering results and driving improvements
• Deep understanding of market dynamics and customer drivers
• Ability to build effective relationships and communicate clearly
• Experience in supplier management and performance metrics
