Job description

We share with you a new opportunity for a Category Insight Manager to join Cerealto, a private-label biscuits leader with a presence in Iberia, México, and the UK.

We’re a €500M private equity-owned business on an ambitious growth journey.

In this role, reporting to the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for delivering shopper, category, and market insights that inform strategic direction, customer planning, and commercial performance. Acting as a bridge between data and decision-making, you will help shape category narratives, drive customer engagement, and support innovation and execution across key European markets.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Analyze market knowledge within the assigned business area: clients and competitors.
  2. Profitably and sustainably grow the business of assigned European clients for mutual benefit.
  3. Ensure customer satisfaction aligned with each client’s strategy.
  4. Lead the use of syndicated data (e.g., Nielsen, Kantar, IRI, loyalty data) to inform decision-making.
  5. Understand the product value chain.
  6. Provide regular reports on market and competitor performance across priority channels.
  7. Assist retailers in localizing and personalizing private label ranges using regional consumer insights.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND SKILLS:

- Education or experience in Sales, Business Administration, or Engineering. An MBA or specialized postgraduate studies are a plus.

- Languages: Fluent English is essential, other languages are a plus.

- Ideally experienced within snacks, bakery, or broader food categories.

- Strong background in category management, shopper insight, or commercial analytics within the FMCG industry.

- Skilled in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.

- The location is flexible: Europe or UK.

Availability to travel is required for this position.

COMPETENCIES:

Agility in adapting, investigative mindset, impactful communication, teamwork, results-oriented, consumer-focused.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

More than 5 years of experience in Sales or similar roles.
