United Utilities in the North West of England is seeking a Water Catchment Operations professional to operate, monitor and maintain catchment assets to ensure reservoir safety, water quality, and regulatory compliance.

The role requires knowledge of water and land management, reservoir design and safety, and the ability to work with diverse teams to support environmental and public access objectives.

Competenze

• Water Engineering or impounding reservoir O&M experience desirable
• Countryside or Environmental Management experience
• Broad business experience
• Good knowledge of water and land management
• Technical understanding of reservoir design and safety
• Technical understanding of hydraulics and civil engineering
• Familiarity with Drinking Water Safety Plan approach to water quality risk
• Knowledge of visitor and countryside access management and related legislation
• Knowledge of wildlife regulations
• Practical countryside management skills
• Must hold a valid driving license

Mansioni

• Build relationships with catchment stakeholders and support sustainable land and water use.
• Monitor reservoirs, catchments and assets, including 48‑hour inspections, for safety and compliance.
• Deliver catchment work programmes and ensure QA, regulatory and legislative compliance.
• Support action plans, reviews, data recording and incident response.
• Preserve heritage, ensure safe public access and manage visitor experience; coordinate with security.
