United Utilities is seeking a Catchment Partnership Officer to join our experienced team in Huntingdon. This hybrid role blends stakeholder engagement, strategic project work, and field catchment days to deliver water quality improvements and biodiversity gains.

You will work across a portfolio of programmes, building trusted partnerships with water companies, regulators, landowners, and communities while shaping delivery from concept to completion and supporting long-term career development

Qualifications

• A degree in Environmental Science, Agriculture, Catchment Management, or a related discipline.
• Experience delivering community-facing or catchment-scale projects through the lifecycle.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain partnerships with water companies, environmental organisations, landowners, community groups, and other stakeholders to deliver catchment projects.
• Identify, develop, and secure opportunities for partnership funding and grant-supported initiatives that support water quality and biodiversity.
• Lead catchment activity coordination to ensure projects are delivered safely, on budget, and aligned with environmental outcomes.
• Represent the business, provide project updates, and communicate technical information accessibly to diverse audiences.
• Manage relationships with third-party delivery partners, consultants, and contractors with clear guidance and oversight.
• Collaborate with internal teams to maximise impact of catchment programmes and embed stakeholder insights in decisions.
• Support development of Drinking Water Safety Plans and catchment management strategies using data for prioritisation and improvement.
