Job summary

The Spey Catchment Initiative (SCI) is recruiting a Spey Catchment Engagement Officer to deliver engagement with farmers, landowners and land managers across the Spey catchment. You will help shape how major NbS programmes are rolled out by listening, informing and involving land managers at every stage.

Join a small, friendly team and play a key role in ensuring land managers have a voice in shaping programmes like the Catchment Investment Programme and the Catchment Audit.

Qualifications

• Experience in community, stakeholder or public engagement including planning and facilitating conversations.
• Ability to explain environmental programmes in plain language.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the catchment.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver a structured engagement programme with land managers across the Spey catchment.
• Build trusted relationships with farmers and landowners, including sensitive areas.
• Convene focus groups with SCI, TNC and AST on a regular basis.
• Develop audience profiles to inform targeted engagement and communication.
• Gather insights to inform NbS modelling and the catchment audit.
• Maintain an engagement tracker and provide short progress updates.
