Job summary

WSP is seeking a proactive Engagement professional to join our expanding UK-wide Engagement team. You will help shape how major projects connect with communities through clear, accessible communications and structured stakeholder engagement across water, health, energy and environmental sectors.

You will work within the Planning and Consents unit, supported by senior engagement specialists, contributing to public consultations and cross-Firm collaboration to produce engaging communications that

Qualifications

Degree (or equivalent) or two years’ experience in engagement, communications, planning or consultation.
Membership of a relevant professional or trade body (or working towards one)
Experience with road, rail, utilities, water, environment or energy sectors is advantageous

Responsibilities

Helping communities understand projects by writing easy-to-understand communications.
Organising events logistics and running surveys to gather feedback.
Attending and minuting meetings, tracking stakeholder engagement and ensuring documentation accuracy.
Supporting cross-team collaboration to deliver quality communications and engagement activities.
Contributing to reports and ensuring feedback informs project development responsibly.
