Job summary

LGBT Jobs is seeking a motivated and adaptable individual to support the delivery of environmental projects across Catchment Recovery, Land Use and Water, River Restoration, and Connecting People and Rivers in the UK.

You will help with biodiversity improvements, water quality, natural flood management, habitat creation and connectivity, and will coordinate across seasons and lifecycles from mapping catchments in GIS to landowner engagement and site supervision.

Job description

We’re looking for a motivated and adaptable individual to support the delivery of environmental projects across our four key work areas: Catchment Recovery, Land Use and Water, River Restoration, and Connecting People and Rivers.

This varied role offers the opportunity to contribute to a diverse range of projects, including biodiversity enhancement, water quality improvements, natural flood management, habitat creation and connectivity, river restoration, and pollution reduction.

The ideal candidate is required to have a broad skillset and the organisational ability to work across multiple projects and tasks at any given time. It is essential to be able to manage their own workload and priorities and effectively communicate with colleagues to deliver environmental projects. Tasks and responsibilities will vary throughout the seasons and lifecycles of projects but will involve various aspects of project delivery from conception (mapping catchments in GIS) to project scoping (landowner engagement) and capital delivery (site supervision).
