Job summary

Finning (UK) Ltd in Cannock is seeking a Rebuild Repair Engineer to perform reconditioning, repair and maintenance on Caterpillar products within a large workshop environment.

The role requires strong electrical, hydraulic and engine troubleshooting skills, plus a background in plant machinery or 5+ years of quality service experience. Competitive salary and extensive benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Preferably with background in plant machinery or similar industries.
• Apprentice trained or 5+ years in a quality service environment.
• Reach truck licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the machine to confirm or expand on the initial field inspection report to assess repair scope.
• Carry out standard diagnosis tests on machine components for cost evaluations and warranty agreements.
• Produce a comprehensive parts and materials list for the proposed work.
• Overhaul, repair or refurbishment per the work plan and re-install/repair components.
• Inspect and test the completed machine to ensure it meets performance expectations.
