Job summary

Driver Hire Aberdeen is seeking a CAT C/Class 2 HGV Driver/Labourer based in Bucksburn, Aberdeen. This hands-on role blends driving with essential labouring tasks to keep roads safe and operational.

You will clear spillages, remove debris, deal with fallen trees and may train to operate gritters and snow ploughs. Immediate starts and ongoing work with on-call requirements and weekend/ night shifts in bad weather.

Qualifications

• Class 2 licence with CPC and digi tac.
• Physically fit and able to perform labouring duties.
• Willing to work shifts including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Drive Class 2 vehicle and perform labouring tasks as required.
• Clear fuel spillages and remove debris to keep roads safe.
• Deal with fallen trees and related roadside works.

CAT C/CLASS 2 HGV Driver/Labourer

Based Bucksburn - Immediate starts, ongoing work

We are recruiting for Class 2 Drivers. This is hands‑on role that combines driving with essential labouring tasks to keep our roads safe and operational. You will be involved in clearing fuel spillages, removing debris, dealing with fallen trees, and more. Training will also be provided to operate gritters and snow ploughs.

Shift & Hours:

• Mon - Fri, 8am - 4pm
• Every second week on-call; may require early starts, late finishes, and weekend work
• Night work may be required during bad weather (snow/ice)

Pay Rates:

• Basic £16.80 p/hr basic
• OT/Night Rate/Sat Rate: £21.50 p/hr
• Sun Rate: £25 p/hr
• Daily standby payments during on-call periods
• Domestic hours apply - great earning potential.

Contract:

Immediate and ongoing throughout the Winter, with potential temp to perm for the right candidate.

Requirements:

• Class 2 driving licence, CPC, - digi tac
• Physically fit, capable and willing to handle the necessary labouring duties
