Job summary

Driver Hire Huddersfield are seeking Category C - Class 2 HGV Drivers to join us working alongside clients based throughout the Kirklees areas of Huddersfield, Brighouse, Meltham and Holmfirth.

These roles are temporary and ad-hoc, covering holidays, sickness and spikes in demand. A high proportion may mature into permanent positions. Duties include vehicle checks, safe delivery, and possible loading duties.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Cat C (Class 2) UK driving licence.
• Must have a current CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Be able to demonstrate a Right to Work in the UK.
• No more than 6 points on your driving licence for minor offences.

Responsibilities

• Perform checks on the vehicle and the load before setting off.
• Ensure that the vehicle and its cargo reach their destination safely.
• Liaise with customers at the point of delivery.
• Some nights out may be required; day work can be offered if this is an issue.
• Be comfortable with occasional loading/unloading of goods.

These roles are for temporary and ad-hoc bookings assisting Clients covering holiday and sickness and increase in business demands. A high level of these roles can mature into permanent positions.

We work with a wide variety of prestigious clients, so positions may include but are not limited to:

• Perform checks on the vehicle and the load before setting off.
• Ensure that the vehicle and it's cargo get to their destination safely.
• Liaise with customers at the point of delivery.
• Some nights out may be required, although if this is an issue day work can be offered.
• Be in possession of a Cat C (Class 2) UK driving licence
• Have a current CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Be able to demonstrate a Right to Work in the UK
• Have no more than 6 points on your driving licence for minor traffic offences.
