Job summary

Driver Hire Guildford in Woking is seeking a reliable HGV Class 2 driver to operate a dust cart and assist the dedicated loaders.

The role offers a salary of £35,600 per year plus overtime, with an hourly rate of £17.12 and premium rates for overtime, Saturdays, and bank holidays; typical shift starts around 5:45am.

You will drive the bin lorry, perform daily checks, help move domestic wheelie bins, and deliver a professional waste service to residents as part of a small team.

Qualifications

• Must hold UK Cat C entitlement and CPC card.
• Digi tacho knowledge preferred.
• Clean driving record with up to 6 minor penalties.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a Class 2 dust cart / bin lorry.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks before use.

Job description

HGV Class 2. Cat C. Dust carts. Woking.

£35,600 plus overtime.

Excellent rate of pay £17.12 per hour. Time and a third for overtime. Time and a half for Saturdays. Triple time on a bank holiday!

Monday to Friday plus optional Saturdays and Bank Holidays. Overtime often available. Typically 5:45am start. Plus benefits including 28 days paid holiday.

You will be a Driver/Loader. The successful candidate will be required to both drive and assist the dedicated team of loaders. So you will be expected to get out of the cab to help pull wheelie bins.

Even recently qualified HGV drivers are welcome to apply.

• Driving and operating a class 2 dust cart, refuse lorry, bin lorry
• Daily walk round vehicle checks
• Assist with manually moving domestic wheelie bins
• Provide a professional waste management service to residential customers
• Be happy working as part of a small team
