Job summary

Farmfoods is seeking experienced Class 1 HGV drivers for our distribution centre in Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire. The role offers 45 hours per week with early starts (2am–6am), permanent full-time positions, and weekend work as needed.

We provide an hourly rate of £18.22, overtime opportunities, 6 weeks’ holiday, staff discounts, and a range of training and PPE, plus a pension. You will deliver to shops, handle palletised goods, and perform vehicle checks daily.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience driving class 1 vehicle.
• Full UK driving licence (with C+E entitlement).
• Digital tachograph & CPC card.

Responsibilities

• Complete delivery drops to shops.
• Unload palletised goods from the vehicle using a powered pallet truck and tail lift.
• Collect waste and other items from the shop to return to the depot.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks.
• Have a safe and efficient approach to driving.

Job description

Class 1 HGV / LGV (C+E) Driver

We are looking to recruit experienced qualified Class 1 HGV / LGV (C+E) Drivers who will be based at our distribution centre in Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire (psotcode: G67 2TU).

We offer a permanent full time position and have a variety of shift patterns available which usually includes at least one weekend day. We may also have some part time work available.

Pay, working hours & benefits:

We offer an hourly pay rate of £18.22 and you will be guaranteed a certain number of hours work per week. If you’re looking to earn a bit more then overtime is regularly available.

The majority of our shifts start in the early hours of the morning (between 1am - 6am).

SHIFTS AVAILABLE:

- Early Starts (Starting time 2am-6am) on a 5on3off shift pattern.

You will need:

• Full UK driving licence (with C+E entitlement).
• Minimum 6 months experience driving class 1 vehicle.

• No greater than 6 points on your driving licence with no dangerous driving or drink-related endorsements.
• A friendly, positive, hard working approach to work.
