Job summary

Farmfoods in Daventry is recruiting for Class 1 HGV / LGV (C+E) drivers. A permanent full-time role with shifts including weekends is available at our new distribution centre. Early or afternoon starts with hourly pay £18.22–£27.50, with overtime opportunities and guaranteed hours.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with C+E entitlement.
• Digital tachograph and CPC card are required.
• No more than 6 points and no dangerous/drink-related endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Complete delivery drops to shops.
• Unload palletised goods using a powered pallet truck and tail lift.
• Collect waste and other items from shops to return to the depot.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and maintain a safe driving approach.

Class 1 HGV / LGV (C+E) Driver

We are looking to recruit both experienced and newly qualified Class 1 HGV / LGV (C+E) drivers who will be based at our brand new distribution centre in Daventry, Northamptonshire. Details about the new site are included below:

• Address = Logicor Park Daventry, Royal Oak Way N, Daventry, NN11 8QL.
• Positions starting in September
• The brand new site includes 2026 model year Mercedes trucks with new trailers and equipment

We offer a permanent full time position and have a variety of shift patterns available which usually includes at least one weekend day. We may also have some part time work available.

Pay, working hours & benefits:

We offer an hourly pay rate of £18.22 - £27.50 per hour and you will be guaranteed a certain number of hours work per week. If you’re looking to earn a bit more then overtime is regularly available.

We have two different shift patterns currently available:

• Early morning starts between 2am-8am.
• Afternoon starts between 1pm and 6pm.

As one of our drivers you will:

• Complete delivery drops to shops.
• Unload palletised goods from the vehicle using a powered pallet truck and tail lift.
• Collect waste and other items from the shop to return to the depot.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks
• Have a safe and efficient approach to driving.

You will need:

• Full UK driving licence (with C+E entitlement).
• Digital tachograph & CPC card.
• No greater than 6 points on your driving licence with no dangerous driving or drink-related endorsements.
• A friendly, positive, hard working approach to work.
