Driver Hire is seeking Class 1 Day or Night Drivers in the United Kingdom. Roles include long-distance trips with frequent overnights. Flexible starts from 0100 to Midnight and various patterns are available.

PAYE salary includes holiday pay, with day shifts around £59,280 and night shifts around £65,520, with potential increases for a 6th day. Applicants must have a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E), CPC and Tachograph cards, plus 2 years of experience.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 (C+E) license with at least 2 years’ experience.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Valid CPC Card.
• C+E entitlement with minimum of 2 years experience.
• Maximum 6 points on license – DR, DD or IN conviction codes not accepted.
• Full 5 year employment history with no more than 28-day gaps; HMRC Gateway Portal submission in PDF.

Responsabilités

HGV Class 1 (C+E) License with a minimum of 2 years demonstrable experience.

Job Title: Class 1 Day or Night Drivers

Days (11am, 12pm or 1pm starts)

• £59,280 pa based on 60 hours per week Mon to Fri with the ability to increase to £65,208 pa if you work a 6th day every other week.

Nights (11pm, 12am or 1am starts)

• £65,520 pa based on 60 hours per week Mon to Fri with the ability to increase to £72,072 pa if you work a 6th day every other week.

Salary is paid through PAYE and is INCLUSIVE OF HOLIDAY PAY

We can also offer other shifts patterns such as 4 on 4 off, 5 on 3 off, 6 on 2 off etc etc, however please note the salary figures per annum change in line with the days worked.

Job Description

Our customer is a leading player within the Cargo airfreight industry who have secured a large contract with UK’s largest airline, as such are looking to increase their current workforce. We are looking for drivers who are prepared to be flexible in their approach and are prepared to do long distance driving with frequent overnights, alongside waiting around the horse shoe.

Flexible start times available on Day or Night shifts starting from 0100 to Midnight.

Company Requirements

• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Valid Driver Qualification (CPC) Card
• Valid C+E Entitlement with minimum of 2 years experience
• Maximum 6 points on license – DR, DD or IN conviction codes will not be accepted
• Full 5 Year employment history with no more than 28-day gaps in employment – You must be able provide your 5 Year employment history using HMRC’s Government Gateway Portal and provide to us in PDF Forward.
• DBS dated within the last 10 weeks (not essential as we can assist you in obtaining one)
• Valid Cargo Operative Certificate Level D (not essential as we can assist you in obtaining one)
• Dangerous Good Category 8 desired (not essential as we can assist you in obtaining one)
• Manual Handling training (not essential as we can assist you in obtaining this)
• Health & Safety Awareness training (not essential as we can assist you in obtaining this)
• Working at heights awareness training (not essential as we can assist you in obtaining this)
• Be ok to sit a driving assessment with one of the customers approved driving asessors.
