Job summary

Apex Hotels in London is seeking a Casual Kitchen Porter to join our busy kitchen. You will support cleanliness, food safety and back-of-house operations with a friendly, can-do attitude. You’ll work as part of a team, take pride in tidy spaces, assist in basic food preparation, and follow COSHH and health & safety guidelines.

The role offers hourly pay, overtime and company benefits. Priorities include initiative, multi-tasking, attention to detail and delivering a warm welcome to guests

Role overview:

As a Casual Kitchen Porter, you'll assist in the delivery of amazing brand standards and immaculate kitchen and back of house facilities. You'll be responsible for your own work and take pride in the high standard of cleanliness and organisation whilst adhering to all food safety and health and safety guidelines.

Joining the dedicated Kitchen department, you'll:

• Ensure the kitchen/refuse areas and relevant stores, corridors and equipment are cleaned and maintained to the highest degree of cleanliness.
• Use cleaning agents and equipment within the perimeters of COSHH Legislation
• Follow all food safety and health and safety guidelines.
• Assist in the preparation of food.

About you:

As a Casual Kitchen Porter, you'll have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail in order to provide consistent standards. This is a vital role in the function of the hotel and ultimately the service provided to our guests before, during and after their stay. You will love working within a team and offering help and assistance, you will be great at multi-tasking, you will be efficient at solving all guest enquiries and all with a smile and infectious personality!

During your learning journey with Apex, we will give you the skills, knowledge and confidence to be a great Casual Kitchen Porter. With this in mind, we are looking for a Kitchen Porter who:

As a casual worker the Company may offer work if it is available on an 'as and when basis', however, the Company is under no obligation to offer available work to you and you are under no obligation to accept any work offered or to work a minimum number of hours in any particular week or month.
