Job summary

Apex Hotels in Dunblane is seeking a Casual Bartender to join our Food & Beverage team. You will help with the setup, service, and close-down of the bar, delivering drinks and light food to guests.

We offer day time and early evening shifts with patterns from 09:00 to 17:00, 12:00 to 20:00, and 17:00 to close; please note this role does not meet the requirements for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa route.

We have day time and early evening shifts available with shift patterns ranging from 09:00 to 17:00 and 12:00 to 20:00. We also offer evening shifts from 17:00 to Close which focus primarily on the Main Bar and Restaurant Bar.

Starting your Journey:

As a Bartender, you will contribute to achieving profitability and quality goals. This role is focused on, but not limited to, the hotel bar where you will be responsible for the setup, service and the closedown of the bar department. You will also be responsible for the service of both food and drinks to guests. You will be multiskilled across the Food & Beverage department and closely work with the Food and Beverage Assistants in making sure there is a smooth delivery of service to all guests, following Apex standards. You will have a passion for drinks, and enjoy creating unique, storytelling cocktails which create memories our guests will love.

Joining the dedicated Food and Beverage department, you will:

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with Apex drink recipes.
• Prepare coffee if need be to our guests and table service.
• Set bar according to Apex standards.
• Record drink orders promptly and accurately after receipt.
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas.
• Receive and serve food orders to guests seated at the bar.
• Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to your manager.
• Assist the restocking and replenishment of inventory and supplies.
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by your manager or immediate supervisor.

On your first day you will begin a structured 12 week learning journey, giving you the skills, knowledge, and confidence to be a great Bartender. With this in mind, we are looking for a Bartender who:

• Can deliver excellent standards
• Uses initiative
• Is self-aware and able to evaluate their own work
• If looking for evening shifts, ideally has experience with Wine Service.
• Has a customer service attitude
• Has the ability to multi-task and provides excellent attention to detail
• Holds a genuine desire to provide a Warmer Welcome to our guests
