Job summary

Meldrum House Hotel & Golf Course in Inverurie, Scotland, is seeking an energetic bartender to join our Food & Beverage team. Deliver warm, attentive service across our bars and outlets, and share knowledge of whisky, wine and cocktails to enhance the guest experience.

You'll prepare drinks to high standards, handle orders and payments, maintain cleanliness, and support stock management while promoting hotel events and experiences to maximise guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Previous bartending or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of whisky, wines, spirits and cocktails.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to remain calm and organised in a busy environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Flexible evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for Scottish hospitality and guest experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver warm, attentive and engaging service to guests across the hotel's bars and outlets.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to company standards.
  • Share your knowledge of whisky, wine, cocktails and local products to enhance the guest experience.
  • Create and serve cocktails, coffees and speciality drinks with consistency and attention to detail.
  • Accurately process orders and payments using hotel systems.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and hygiene throughout all bar areas.
  • Receive and serve food orders when required.
  • Assist with stock management, replenishment and inventory control.
  • Support colleagues across the wider Food & Beverage operation during busy periods.
  • Promote hotel events, experiences and facilities to maximise guest satisfaction and revenue opportunities.

Your Role
